Ramoreboli back at Lioli
MORENA RAMOREBOLI RETURNS TO LIOLI
The South African mentor Morena Ramoreboli makes a shocking come back to Lioli after Tse Nala’s 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) FC in a league tie at Maputsoe DiFA Stadium yesterday. According to the club’s assistant communications and marketing manager Motlatsi Mofokeng, Ramoreboli has a six-month contract with Lioli. Mofokeng said Ramoreboli’s mandate is just to build the team and nothing else. “He has a six-month contract with Lioli and his mandate is just to build the team,” said Mofokeng in an interview with theSPORT today. Ramoreboli has started work this afternoon with his assistant Molefi Loape. The two have replaced Molefi Mokhele and Mosola Soai as Lioli caretaker coach and assistant coach respectively. This is not Ramoreboli and Loape's first time at the helm of Lioli’s technical team. They were at the same positions in 2017/18 season, but failed to turn Lioli’s fortune. Mofokeng said the duo left after their contracts were not renewed. “Their contracts expired and were not renewed after they failed to reach their mandate,” Mofokeng said. Before he left, Ramoreboli was not at all in good terms with Lioli fans because of the team’s poor performance and for not being the players’ favourite. Meanwhile, Lioli have signed Luciano Matsoso from Black Leopards in the Absa Premier League and Thato Sefoli from Real Kings in the GladAfrica Championship, both in South Africa.Lioli are taking on LDF FC again this Saturday in a second round league tie at LDF.
