Lesotho beat Sao Tome, Congo in Chess Olympiad
Lesotho national women team beat Sao Tome and Principe 4-0 while in men competition Lesotho beat Congo DR 3-1.
Lesotho's double victory came after losing four games one after the other, two in male and two in female section .
Both Lesotho teams lost all those games with a margin of 4-0, with the male squad succumbing to Tajikistan and Syria whilst female team lost to Turkmenistan and New Zealand this Monday and Tuesday respectively.
"We lost against Syria in open section and against New Zealand in women section. We lost 4-0 in both," said Chess Federation of Lesotho Development Officer, Tlhoriso Morienyane in an interview on Tuesday.
Today, Lesotho plays Portugal in open section and Brunei in women section. The Batumi Chess Olympiad kicked off this Monday and will come to an end next week Saturday.
