Bantu coach James Madidilane, is short-listed for the Lesotho Annual Sports Awards (LASA) coach of the year accolade.
Madidilane is competing for the award against chess coach Moseli Phera and Nomanzondo Seleteng of School Sport. Madidilane was nominated for the award by the sports mother-body, Lesotho Sport and Recreation Commission (LSRC), while Phera and Seleteng were nominated by Chess Federation of Lesotho (CFL) and Lesotho Primary Schools Sports Association (LePSSA) respectively.

Madidilane’s team Bantu is also short-listed for Sport Team of the year. It is competing for the award against the senior national team Likuena and Lerotholi Polytechnic Basketball Club.
Bantu are the defending Econet Premier League (EPL) champions, having won the league title back-to-back two seasons before and are once again in the race to win it for the third time consecutively.
The Mafeteng based-side have just broke Lesotho decades of poor record in the CAF Champions League by proceeding beyond preliminary stage of the competition, when they knocked out Township Rollers of Botswana.

Madidilane, who is in his third season as Bantu coach, won the Econet Premier League Coach of the Month accolade more than once last season.
Meanwhile, yesteryear footballers Thulo ‘The Magic Touch Leboela, Lekoane ‘Computer’ Lekoane and the late Refiloe ‘Popo’ Matsoara have been short-listed for Sport Legacy Award.
